Some of your favorite stars have actually taken and been accused of taking another person’s life. Many times, it’s by accident. But other times, it’s actual murder. Here’s a list of actors, musicians, famous athletes who have killed other people.
#Caitlyn Jenner
The former Olympian was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing in the accident and reached a settlement to pay $800,000 to the members of Howe’s family.
#Snoop Dogg
The hip hop and pop culture legend, Snoop Dogg (Calvin Broadus) and bodyguard McKinley Lee were charged in the murder of Los Angeles crip Philip Woldemariam in 1995. Mr. Woldemariam who was a member of a rival gang was shot twice and was killed by Snoop’s bodyguard, McKinley Lee during a face-off in Snoop’s car. Snoop Dogg was arrested in connection with the death of Phillip Woldermariam, and was charged with murder along with Lee as he was driving the vehicle from which the shooting had commenced. In January 2006 Snoop and his bodyguard McKinley Lee were found not guilty on the murder charges but the jury remained deadlocked on the manslaughter charge.
#Rebecca Gayheart
Rebecca Gayheart, an American television actress and former model on June 13, 2001 was driving in Los Angeles, CA in a borrowed Jeep Grand Cherokee when she smashed and killed Jorge Cruz Jr., a third grader who was crossing the street on his way home from school according to People Magazine. On November 27, 2001 Gayheart plead no contest to vehicular manslaughter. She was given a financial penalty tom pay $2,800, 750 hours of community service and 3 years probation with 1 year suspended license.
#Johnny Lewis
In 2012, "Sons of Anarchy" actor Johnny Lewis broke into the home of 81 year-old Catherine Davis, ransacked her home, and then killed her (and her cat). Witnesses then saw Lewis jump over a fence, assault a neighbor, and return to the Davis house. He fell or jumped from a roof and died. Lewis had been born into a Scientologist family and worked for the church's drug rehab group Narconon.
Despite a later history of drug use, an autopsy report showed that Lewis had no drugs or alcohol in his system when he died.
#Aaron Hernandez
On June 17, 2013, Odin Lloyd, a linebacker for a New England Football League (NEFL) semi-professional team called the Boston Bandits was found shot to death in North Attleborough, Massachusetts.
Suspicion soon fell on Aaron Hernandez, a professional football player who had accused Lloyd of breaking his trust.
Hernandez was found guilty of first degree and sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole, but was later acquitted. He committed suicide in 2017, and was found to have severe CTE.
#Don King
Donald King (known as Don King) is arguably one of the most well-known boxing promoters in history. According to reports, Don King has killed two persons. The first victim was Hillary Brown whom Don King had shot in the back as Brown attempted to rob one of his gambling houses. Authorities later said the shooting was justified and no charges were leveled against King. 13 years later King was arrested for second degree murder for beating his employee Sam Garrett to death over a $600 debt. King’s first reason for conviction was second-degree murder but the judge reduced the conviction to non-negligent manslaughter. King served four years in a state prison for the incident. Today Donald King is a very rich man with an estimated net worth of over $290 million.
#Michael Jace
In May 2014, terrifying calls were made to 911, claiming that The Shield star Michael Jace fatally shot his wife while their two small children were present.
According to authorities, the actor, who actually was one of the people who called the murder in, was upset that April Jace wanted to divorce him and was possibly seeing other men. So he shot her once in the back and twice in the legs. He confessed to shooting her, but said he only wanted her to be in pain, not die.
In 2016, a jury convicted him of second-degree murder and he was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison.
#Felicia Pearson
At the age of 14, The Wire actress Felicia Pearson was convicted of second-degree murder. Pearson has said that she got into a life of crime at a very young age growing up in Baltimore. Her dangerous lifestyle eventually landed her in prison for the shooting death of a girl named Okia Toomer.
She was sentenced to two eight-year terms, to be served consecutively, at the Maryland Correctional Institute, but was released after serving just six and a half years.
#OJ Simpson
