Turkish architects design a hotel that hangs 1,982 feet over a cliff in Norway for daredevil holidaymakers

Designed by architecture firm Hayri Atak, the concept for this boutique hotel in Norway is not for the faint of heart

Imagine staying in a hotel room which is built into the edge of a cliff, sitting 2000ft above the waters of a Norwegian Fjord.
Sure, it's not for the faint-hearted, but there's no denying that the views would be pretty spectacular.
 in Norway for daredevil holidaymakers
Hayri Atak is an Istambul-based Turkish interior architect who founded the Hayri Atak Architectural Design Studio back in 2017. The architect is known for his futuristic and innovative designs and recently he surprised us once again – this time by designing a concept for a breathtaking hotel hanging on the side of a Norwegian cliff.
The Cliff Concept Boutique Hotel would be situated atop the Preikestolen (or Pulpit rock) cliff located in Western Norway and rising 604 metres (1,982 ft) above the Lysefjorden fjord.
for the design studio’s latest project, hayri atak proposes to construct a boutique hotel sitting precariously on the edge of norway‘s preikestolen cliff.  the idea sees the hotel built into the side of the rock, appearing almost as an extension of the cliff itself. characterized by the series of balconies that delicately cantilever over the precipice, the concept envisions a unique hotel experience, providing guests with impressive views of the natural landscape of norway.
on the top level of the hotel, a large viewing platform is designed by hayri atak to greet guests into the entrance of the building. on the three floors below, guest accommodation can be found, including curved balconies that protrude out from the edge of the cliff, offering panoramic views of the surrounding fjords and mountains. on the last deck, a swimming pool provides users with a place for relaxation. the pool itself, long and narrow, stretches out into the distance, creating an uncertain yet thrilling architectural concept.
